Chalet du lac is a beautiful lakeside chalet 7 minutes from the centre of Morzine. The living space is over 120m² sleeping up to 8 (10 including young children), with two double bedrooms, a family room (with a double and a single bed), and a mezzanine (with a single and a double futon), two bathrooms, private parking to the side and a sun-terrace in front of the chalet. A large open plan split level sitting room with rustic wooden beams, deep sofas and a cosy wood-burning stove. The chalet has been furnished to cater for all modern comforts whilst the antique skis, cartwheels, dried flowers and carved wooden fretwork retain a rustic alpine charm.

Location

Chalet du lac has an enviable location. Literally overlooking Lac de Montriond, the views in winter and summer are breathtaking. 7 minutes from Morzine by car and 4 minutes from the Ardent telecabine, the chalet is perfectly positioned for access to the mountains. Those 'in-the-know' don't use the Morzine lifts to access the skiing area as the queues can eat in to the start of your day. The telecabine from Ardent is the fastest access to the Portes du soleil circuit, the Avoriaz  sector and the Swiss resorts. There is plenty of parking at the lift and the ski bus stops right outside the chalet at half hourly intervals. Ardent has the most reliable snow record of all access routes to the Portes du soleil - skiing back to the resort in late April for every one of the last 10 years - other ski companies offer snow 'guarantees' by bussing their guests to the Ardent lift - only 4 minutes from our breakfast table!
